Reed diffusers are a simple to use, long lasting home fragrancing product where rattan reeds are inserted into a glass bottle or glass jar of scented diffuser oil.
Each rattan reed contains about 20 "channels" that run the entire length of the reed. Much like "mini-straws", these channels "suck" the oil to the tops of the reeds. The scent is then naturally dispersed into the air through evaporation- leaving your home smelling wonderful !
Unlike candles, reed diffusers are flame free and do not require any heat. They disperse scent into the air naturally. No flame means no soot and more importantly, no risk of fire ! This makes reed diffusers safe for use in homes, offices, classrooms, nursing homes, dorms and more !
But beware- not all reed diffusers are created equally. Our reed diffuser base is alcohol and DPG free and is blended with premium, uncut fragrance oils. Other companies often use alcohol in their reed diffuser base to speed the evaporation process. This results in you having to purchase more oil from them before it is really necessary. Others sometimes use DPG in their reed diffuser base products. Although DPG (dipropylene glycol) is good for thinning fragrances, it is too thick to properly travel up the reeds in your reed diffuser. (Why are they trying to thin out their fragrances anyway ?)
